ABOUT US
Sant Khalsa, Founding Director
Sant Khalsa is an artist, educator and curator with more than four decades of experience and accomplishments in the photographic arts. Her photo-based art practice focuses on complex environmental and societal issues. Khalsa's works are widely exhibited, published and acquired by museums including the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, Center for Creative Photography in Tucson, Nevada Museum of Art in Reno, and National Galleries of Scotland. She is the recipient of the prestigious 2023 California Arts Council Individual Artist Fellowship Legacy Artist Award her lifetime "leadership in guiding the evolution of our traditional and contemporary cultures," and the inaugural recipient of the Society for Photographic Education Insight Award (2012) for her significant contributions to the field of photography. She is a Professor of Art, Emerita at California State University, San Bernardino, where she taught for thirty years and served as Chair of the Department of Art (2003-2012). http://www.santkhalsa.com
